Paul Boulangerie Manila opens in SM Aura

I am a self proclaimed coffee and croissant connoisseur. So happiness is Paul Boulangerie finally opening in Manila! The Cafe is full, surprisingly the locals recognize this international franchise. French Chef Frank is in town to make sure the opening of the Fort SM Aura branch runs smoothly. Kudos to alumni Myles Sanchez and Stephen Almeda for heading the kitchen teams. Scrumptious are my favorite viennoiseries like the flaky croissants (P65) and pain au chocolate(P75). From the Cafe menu we sampled the mushroom crepes (P220) and the ham & cheese sandwich (P170). The decadent chocolate tart and heavenly tarte myrtilles (blueberry tart on puff pastry) were worth the calories. Must come back to savor all the other pastries!!!

We have a Paul here in Luxembourg too and here it’s really overpriced for what it is I think. I’d rather support my local bakery.

The croissant comes out to about 1.40 euros here. How much is it there? I know they have one in Brussels too. French pastries are more of a luxury for us in Asia.
