Culinary Luminaries at COP 2013

20130306-205623.jpgThe Olive Oil expert and producer Mr. GIOVANNI ABBO runs his family’s company, the Olive Oil Company ABBO srl. His connection to ICIF- Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners brought him to Manila to do a technical tasting course on extra virgin olive oils. In collaboration with De La Salle – College of St. Benilde, Mr. Abbo conducted a workshop during COP 2013 entitled “A New Appreciation to Olive Oil”.20130306-222916.jpg20130306-223337.jpg

Chef Simone Murru (A Culinary Journey to Northern Italy) gave a cooking demonstration on Northern Italian Cuisine. Chef Simone Murru was my chef instructor at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Piedmont. ICIF is a partner school of De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde. Our students have the option of taking a 3 month program in Italy with stage at a Michelin rated restaurant.
