Wine night at Cafe Ysabel

If only the walls could talk, nostalgic is this old colonial house. Chef Gene’s Cafe Ysabel in San Juan was “the” dating place back in the 80’s. And just like friendships with plenty of history, this local watering hole has definitely surpassed the test of time. We had a wonderful wine paring dinner to mark the end of the holiday season. Smoked fish wantons, oysters, Greek salad, salmon, beef tenderloin topped with foie gras, and balsamic ice cream.
