Hi Sam, I did check out the above site, never heard of this “foodie” from the industry ….Anyway the point is people will always compare Solomon to the other school’s restaurants…such is this blogger who compared a P85 dish with another school’s P1000 fine dining menu …but hey you can’t stop people from saying what they want…I guess what outsiders don’t know is that we don’t need the sales of the restaurant to augment the school’s income or for the school to survive. The venue which is intended for the DLS community is purely for practice and for people to be able to eat gourmet meals at “student” prices…you can’t get that deal anywhere which is why we are always full…Solomon does have special dinners at P1000 per plate were we use expensive ingredients like foie gras, salmon, caviar, etc…maybe next time we can invite our critics so they can compare apples with apples with the proper price points. As for you guys its always a challenge to do ordinary things extraordinarily well… like making great food on a limited budget.
